It's wonderful to see and hear about the genuine caring students we have here at Mount Terry PS. Ruby, one of our Year 1 students, has donated her hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign. This campaigne uses the donated hair to make wigs for woman affected by cancer. Ruby was inspired to donate her hair after she was visiting the Sydney Children's Hospital and saw a little boy with no hair in a wheel chair and wanted to know why. After an explanation from her parents, Ruby thought she ‘could cut off her own hair for the kids with no hair'. She has also raised $1300 for the Kids with Cancer project because she wanted to help children as well. Our community is very lucky to have such caring students!
